When the coronavirus pandemic brought about social isolation and temporarily shut down America’s poker rooms, I stopped playing poker and began writing many of my old stories from my life as a player. The result is Missouri and Me, A Poker Odyssey, a memoir told through a collection of some of those stories as well as a chronicle of the game’s evolution from the ‘old school’ to the modern game. My stories will take you back in time, they will put you at the poker table, they will make you laugh and give you reason to pause.
